THE SEXTETO
The selection of the material includes some infallible titles for the viewer who is coming to Buenos Aires for the first time and also some others that have interesting particularities whether it is musicality, lyrics, melody strength, instrument intensity, or magic by Astor Piazzolla circling the chords.
The instrumental training and also the musical arrangements of the themes are inspired by the tastes of Astor himself, who preferred to give each performer a play and improvisation space. Piano, two bandoneons, two violins, and double bass are an impeccable combination to listen to the intentions, the modulations on the songs and the "color" that he gave to his compositions.
THE BODY OF DANCE
Seduction, sympathy, sensuality, vigor… The couples of dancers show a particular and different facet of the tango-dance in each theme. The choreographies change with one or another musical style, each piece highlights the musical variations, the picaresque subtlety of some milongas, the melancholic climates, or the strength of the salon steps in the Pugliese themes. The dancers show in each proposal the different speeds, qualities of movements and intensities that induce the chosen compositions.
THE VOICES
Ricardo Marín is a young artist of great experience in our country, he began to sing as a child in Argentine TV tango programs, projecting himself as a prodigy singer for the field. Since that beginning Ricardo Marín has developed his career with great characters of popular music, participated in important tango orchestras, accompanied with his voice personalities who marked the history of tango, to become a young artist with an enormous artistic experience. He has completed his career with actor training by participating in movies, plays and musical shows. Today Astor Piazzolla Theater chooses him as his official singer because he meets the right conditions to interpret a varied and demanding repertoire such as the one that can be seen in the show, his vocal breadth and the charisma of his voice and personality make a classic tango to trace the strength, masculinity and passion of the old guard and also that the melodies of Astor Piazzolla with the poetry of Ferrer in more contemporary tangos can excite us with the subtlety and whispers of his interpretation.
The female voices Vanina Tagini - Cecilia Casado, contribute to the show with their femininity but an arrabalero style, the interpretative quality of each one of them makes them resort to sympathetic phrasing, seductive tone or phrasing dragged into the darkest tangos, and also they contribute their visceral song, which shows them with the strength of the classic Argentine "tango". Each of them has traveled with tango in various countries of the world, captivating very heterogeneous audiences.
The team of singers is of international level and great trajectory, as well as all the members of the cast, who meet the right conditions to interpret a varied repertoire chosen for the show by its Artistic Director.
The show is directed by the creator of the best tango works of the last 25 years .. Dolores de Amo that brings idea, costumes, staging and General Direction. Among some of his creations in his successful career we can mention ..Dreams of Tango, Esquina Homero Manzi, Esquina Carlos Gardel, Solo Tango- The Show, Tango Porteño, Piazzolla Tango, Tango House (USA) and now the Astor Piazzolla Theater shows and Tango Carlos Gardel.
